Welcome
chunk_new.jpgTed Eiel is a Chicago-based DJ with over 15 years of experience at clubs and on the radio. He has been booked by some of the biggest club promoters to spin parties in the North America and Europe. Along with headlining events such as International Mister Leather's Black & Blue Ball, he’s also done parties for Folsom Street Fair (SF), IML (Chicago), Lazy Bear Weekend (SF), Sanctuary (SF), Bear Week (Provincetown), Meat Rack (LA), SWEAT (Boston, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, SF), Superstar Sundays (Chicago) and Bay of Pigs (SF).  Internationally he has played both MEGAWOOF and Tonker in the UK and parties in Canada. Along with  residencies at the Eagle LA, SWEAT Dances and Wunderland SF, he has headlined the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Leather Ball for Winter Party 2009.

Ted has an aggressive, masculine sound that has been inspired by underground tracks drawn from classic house, electro, disco, and rock. His music can be described as “muscle house” for men; sexy, funky, chunky house with an emphasis on dirty bass lines, melodic vocals and an intense energy that brings everyone to the floor.

Along with his live experience, Ted has a hugely popular podcast featured on iTunes called CHUNKHOUSE.  It has over 8,000 subscribers with over 20,000 downloads a month.  CHUNKHOUSE just celebrated 3 years with over 300,000 downloads to dance aficionados all over the world.

Black and Blue Ball
Rating: 5 out of 5 bottles of water
The Black and Blue Ball, held at the Excalibur club, is the closing event of the IML weekend.  This is the last chance to let your hair down, connect, share, and enjoy the weekend of leather, gear and fetish. DJ Ted Eiel dropped down an amazing set of his Chunk House branded style of music to a hot, sexy crowd.  The mix of vocals and chunky rhythms kept me from leaving the dance floor much at all, and even when I took a quick break I could not stop my feet from wanting to dance.  Dropping in the mixes like “Flash Gordon” added to the sense of fun for the evening, and it was amazing to look around and see hands in the air and smiles everywhere.  Yes, I am going to rave about this party, because this is the type of dance party that a weekend like IML really needs to have.  Ted is the perfect DJ for this event, with a broad appeal to so many, and it was clear he was the master of this event.  The crowd gave him a great cheer at the end of his set, which he then pulled out a great mix of “Alright” and kicked off the end of the night.  Finally, when it was over, Ted was cheered again by the large number of people still at the club and the chant for one more song came, even though the house lights had been brought up, and they were given their wish.  With house lights on the crowd got one last chance to dance and call it a night and head out into the cold drizzle and home.  Thanks Ted for putting the exclamation on the IML weekend and sending us all home with smiles and sore feet!
